Our Instructors

Amanda

She took her first yoga class in 2013 while on a journey for improved physical health. After just 1 class she felt stronger physically and mentally, and never looked back.

She began to realize that modern health is lacking a component of spiritual wellness that directly relates to overall well-being. So the day after graduating from nursing school, Amanda enrolled in yoga teacher training to deepen her understanding of spiritual and physical health and share it with others.

Amanda is a local Chelan resident and a registered nurse.

For fun she loves to road trip, hike, and spend time with friends and family, especially her two boys Mathew and Cody.

Kari

Being around Kari gives you an immediate energy recharge, she is a blessing to be around.

A little bit of her story …

“I began my yoga journey with aerial yoga. It was just something fun to do at the time. Fly through the air? Sign me up! I fell in love with the combination of fun and exercise. On a particularly crabby day at work my co-worker asked if I had been to yoga lately; I had not. I realized then how important this practice was for my physical and mental health. Over the years, I experimented with various yoga practices. When I found Hot Pilates, I fell in love all over again! It’s the perfect combination of energy, mindfulness, and physical activity. As an instructor, I work to create a warm, welcoming space where we can combine positive energy and fun to create meaningful change in our lives.”

Jonna

“I started showing up to yoga classes 10 years ago when I was unhealthy & unhappy. Class by class I started to feel better, stronger, & capable of living an awe inspiring life. Healing my mind & body.

I’ve been teaching for 4 years. My go to teaching style is vinyasa flow or gentle mix class. I love all yoga & enjoy being a student.

In 2023 I received a scholarship to attend Aerial yoga teacher training. I completed L1 & L2 trainings with a goal to teach & share aerial yoga in Chelan. I’m thrilled to currently have a weekly class!

I teach kids yoga at our elementary school & nothing is better in the morning than lil’ yogi energy!

I am a wife and mom of 2 daughters & 1 son

Al

He is a master gardener, vegetarian/vegan chef, and a yoga teacher with over 2600 hours of teaching experience.

He began practicing yoga in 2000 and started teaching in 2003 at San Diego State University. He also worked as an Outdoor Wilderness Guide at SDSU and led Yoga/Rock-climbing Retreats to Joshua Tree National Park.

When Al moved to South America, he taught at his own studio in Cusco, Peru, as well as the Kapievi Eco-Village in the Amazon. He also lived in Central Mexico where he taught Vinyasa Yoga at Esencia Yoga Spa. In December 2020 he made Chelan WA his home.

Al learned from Kathy Lee Kappmeier, B.K.S. lyengar and Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois. He says "| teach more of a Vinyasa style, while integrating details from the lyengar tradition, but really I teach to the students I have in the class at that moment". It's all "just yoga"
