Parents and Teachers!  Ready to make this school year a more mindful one for your ids, your students, and yourself? Join Mary WardLupinacci, M.A. Mindful Learning Specialist & Owner of Be Still Kids, for some self-care and mindful planning to ease your transition back to school and sustain a calm and healthy school year. In this workshop you’ll practice movement, breath, meditation and other mindful learning strategies to incorporate into your mindfulness routines at home and school. Our workshops are designed to be inclusive for ALL types of learners and movers. Everyone is welcome!
Topics include:
*Practicing peaceful transitions & routines for stressful times (ex: bedtime, morning, homework time, test days, etc.)
*Mindful behavior management at home and in the classroom.
*Daily self-care for YOU and the kids.
*Techniques for calm & focus, energy & balance, stress-management & time- management.
You’ll leave this restorative workshop feeling energized and prepared for the school year with an individual Mindfulness Plan and Self-Care Plan that meet the needs of your family and/or classroom.

Mary’s Bio.

Mary Ward Lupinacci, M.A., is an award-winning educator and Mindful Learning Specialist with over 15 years experience in the field. Mary has worked as a Behavior Specialist, Special Education Teacher, and School Counselor in a variety of settings and locations, including San Diego, Boston, and Washington State. She holds an M.A. in School and Community Counseling, is a Certified Kids Yoga Instructor, and will earn a PhD in Cultural Studies and Social Thought in Education from Washington State University in 2018. She is currently Faculty in the Children’s Studies Department at Eastern Washington University where she develops and teaches courses such as Mindfulness and Alternative Practices for Working with Children, Inclusivity & Diversity in Learning Environments, Play & Playwork, Children’s Literature and Media, and Foundations of Children’s Studies. Mary has taught yoga and mindfulness to hundreds of kids and families all over the world, and is excited to bring her experiences and passion for mindful living and learning to your family!
