SNOWGA - Snow shoeing and Yoga

This is the perfect event for you!!!
A great chance to experience both for the first time.
He'd never done Yoga so we created a pose for him. "Coat Hanger Pose".
We'll warm up with some yoga then off for the trail! This guided trek will last about two hours with stops along the way for Yoga Poses in the snow, fresh fudge from Cullinary Apple, and time to enjoy the beautiful views. At the end of your journey, we'll stretch it out with some yoga, and then enjoy cheeses and treats provided by Bear Foods Market.
When: January 15, 2017 (Sunday) at 11:30 am and/or January 21 (Saturday) at Noon. Total time about 3 hours. ****Jan 21 Cancelled. Next Snowga event at Gamble Sands Feb 11!)
Where: Echo Ridge Lower parking lot.
Bring: Warm layered clothes and snowshoes.

A $5 cash US Forrest Service Trail Usage Pass is required for each person.
Snowshoes: Lake Chelan Sports - 509 682 2629 all day rental about $15 or Lakeland Ski - 509 687 3204 (at the base of Echo Valley Ski Hill). Reserve ahead of time to be sure of availability.
From Chelan, head west on Highway 150 (Manson Highway) toward Manson and follow the brown information signs with the cross-country skier on it. Travel about 2 miles to Boyd Road, turn right and follow Boyd Road up approximately 7 miles to Cooper Gulch Road. Continue past the Echo Valley Ski Area and take a right up the hill another 2 miles to the first parking lot. If you go to far you are at the second parking lot at the roads end.
Beautiful view of Lake Chelan and the Chelan Valley from Echo Ridge Trail. This area is a geological wonder! The Lake is 50 miles long with its rain forest at one end and high desert at the other.
Chelan, WA is a small resort community is known for its Lake, Wine, and Agriculture. It has four seasons and is just three hours from Seattle.
Lynda Kennedy E-RYT, owner of Yogachelan, creates events throughout the year to introduce people to yoga in a fun way.
